WHITEY- The Life of America's Most Notorious Mob Boss (Los Angeles)
The Boston University Alumni Association, in conjunction with the BUinLA Student Internship Program, invites you to participate in the speaker series The Essence of Entertainment. In the first installment of 2013, please join your fellow alumni, family and friends for "An Evening with Dick Lehr", COM professor and co-author of Whitey: The Life of America's Most Notorious Mob Boss (Crown Publishers: February 19, 2013), and New York Times Bestseller, Black Mass: Whitey Bulger, the FBI, and a Devil's Deal. Professor Lehr will guide guests through the life of infamous mobster Whitey Bulger, his process of researching and writing the trilogy of Bulger books, and the current process of turning these stories into film. Professor Lehr will be joined by screen writer Mark Mallouk, who has written the feature film adaption for for Black Mass. Just shy of the two-year anniversary of Bulger's capture, and months away from the start of his scheduled trial, guests will not doubt enjoy this fascinating discussion.
