IS&T SCV Tutorial - Introduction to Scientific Python

This tutorial focuses on the basic tools used in Scientific Computing, including Numpy (fast array manipulation), Matplotlib (Matlab-like plotting), and Scipy (a bevy of numerical methods). We’ll work on a small application that compares solving Laplace’s equation using pure python to one using Numpy. Prerequisite: Taking our “Introduction to Python for Programmers” tutorial or similar experience programming in Python.
