Postdocs Luncheon: MASS-AWIS Mentoring Circle Program
MASS-AWIS (National Association for Women in Science) Mentoring Circle ProgramMeet Masha Hareli and Sana Mujahid of MASS-AWIS (Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association for Women in Science) and learn about the MASS-AWIS Mentoring Circle Program. Masha Fridkis-Hareli is an immunologist, consultant and inventor with over 20 years of experience in academia and industry. Dr. Fridkis-Hareli is actively involved on boards of several women’s professional organizations and has recently served as President of the Association for Women in Science in Massachusetts. Sana Mujahid is currently pursuing her PhD in Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology from the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University. Sana benefited from being a participant of 2011-2012 mentoring program and subsequently became involved in the Mentoring Committee. She also volunteers for Science Club for Girls.The mission of MASS-AWIS is to support women in all scientific fields and to achieve equity and full participation for women in science, mathematics, engineering and technology. MASS-AWIS events include science and career talks, networking, workshops on work-life balance and social gatherings. The chapter features a mentoring circle program that provides a collegial and safe environment for addressing professional and personal development issues.
