Human Resources Open Enrollment 2013
There are a number of changes being made to the health plan options for 2013 which are all geared toward containing costs while continuing to provide you with quality care and choice. The anticipated savings give you a lower than expected increase in the amount you contribute from your pay, and in turn, reduce the costs to the University while still maintaining a competitive benefit plan. During this annual Open Enrollment period please review and confirm the accuracy of the family members covered under your health and dental plan. Please note that early in 2013 a dependent eligibility audit will be completed on the health and dental plans. You will be contacted and asked to provide appropriate documentation for any dependents that you cover under your health and dental plans. We also encourage you to take advantage of the programs offered by Health Smart. These programs help you build regular exercise into your daily life, avoid disease, improve your eating habits, and find better ways to manage chronic health conditions. Open Enrollment 2013 has all the details on the new health plans, and provides comprehensive instructions on how to enroll. We ask that you take the time to learn about Boston University's health plan offerings and how they might work for you and your family. Then choose the plan that best fits your needs, based on your expected health expenses in 2013.
