Cinematheque: An Evening with Benoit Jacquot
France’s leading contemporary filmmaker and director of upcoming Marie Antoinette film, Farewell My Queen, which opened the Berlin Film Festival and opens shortly in NYC. Jacquot has produced over twenty critically regarded features. He will screen and speak at BU with one of the audience’s all-time favorites: A Single Girl (1995), in which a pregnant young woman (the radiant Virginie Ledoyan) goes to work as a maid at a swank hotel. Co-sponsored by the BU Department of Romance Studies & Comparative Literature, UniFrance and the Consulate General of France-Boston.
