Cinematheque: An Evening with Alison Bagnal
The co-writer of the indie classic, Buffalo 66, Bagnal moves to directing her own script with tonight’s delightful The Dish & the Spoon (2011). It’s Greta Gerwig’s last low-budget work before starring in features of Woody Allen and Noah Baumbach. Here, Gerwig is a fuming, dispirited, estranged wife, plotting revenge on the young woman who took her husband away.
