Celebrate Diversity & Inclusion at the 2012 Beacon Awards

The Boston Bar Association is proud to honor GLAD (Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders) and the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office for their work as lawyers in advancing same sex marriage and for effectively expanding the meaning of Diversity and Inclusion through their effort to challenge the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), a statute that discriminates against legally married same-sex couples. Join the BBA for a cocktail reception and awards ceremony to honor this year's recipients of the Beacon Award. Admission is free to all members of the Boston Bar Association and Affinity Bars, but RSVP is required. Click here to register today: https://www.bostonbar.org/membership/events/event-details?ID=11625. The Beacon Award for Diversity and Inclusion was established to recognize organizations or individuals who have had an exceptional impact on advancing diversity and inclusion in one or more of these areas: legal scholarship, recruitment and retention practices, pro bono representation, community service, legal advocacy and legislative activity.
