To begin with, we want to introduce Shuchita and Charoma, our newest Training Team members:
Shuchita Rao, Human Capital Management (HCM)
Shuchita will be updating existing documentation, writing new help documents, and offering hands-on forms training for Personnel Administration, Organization Management, Retirement and Terminations, in addition to creating and maintaining positions. Charoma Blyden, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Charoma is taking over for Ike Babbitt and plans to offer training sessions for Shopping Cart Creation, Procurement Approval, and Catalog Ordering. In addition, Charoma maintains the Sourcing & Procurement Procure to Pay online help site, where shoppers can find training videos and help documents related to Sourcing and Procurement. Isabel Guillermo, Finance WebGUI ECC System
Isabel is responsible for writing and updating finance-related help documentation. She develops Quick Reference Guides and Work Instructions that are available on the BUworks Online Help website in the Document Library 5 Finance folder. Bill Stewart: Business Warehouse (BW) Reporting
In addition to creating and maintaining a full library of online help documents related to reporting, Bill offers hands-on introductory reporting courses for these areas: Funds Management (budget and actuals), Grants Management, Labor Distribution (payroll), and Supplier Relationship Management. Intermediate/advanced courses he offers include Funds Management, Grants Management, Position Budget, and Research/Sponsored Program reporting. Calendar of Hands-on Training Sessions
We have updated the IS&T training calendar through May (and June, in some cases) with hands-on labs in the areas of Finance, Shopping, and Business Warehouse reporting. We will add the HR labs starting in June. Please browse this listing – which contains lab descriptions, target audiences, campus locations, dates and times, and prerequisites – and register for any sessions that are appropriate to your business role and experience level.
Please note that the experience requirement is important. Basic labs provide foundational information for new users or for employees who want a refresher in a particular functional area. Intermediate/advanced-level labs are intended for BUworks users who have attended the corresponding basic-level lab and have first-hand experience using the system.

New Financial Affairs Policy Web Page
The Office of the Senior Vice President Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer has created a new Financial Affairs Policy Page for the BU faculty and staff communities. Make note of any applicable polices before accessing the WebGUI ECC System. Additional information and resources is found on the VPFA Web site.
Browser and System Requirements for BUworks WebGUI
Does your FV50 transactional screen look a bit off? Before submitting a help desk ticket, confirm that you have the recommended browser and system requirements. The recommended browser and java configuration provide best performance for WebGUI ECC System. Retirement and Termination forms in Personnel Administration (PA) have recently undergone enhancements. Plans are currently being developed to provide training for the following:

Business Warehouse (BW) Reporting
The BW Usability Project went live on April 7. The project introduced many changes to the BUworks Reporting portal and the highest-usage BW reports. Our goal was to make it easier to find reports and the data users told us they need. We accomplished this goal by removing obsolete reports, by reducing the number of reporting folders, and by making the most frequently used reports even better with requested variables and data. A detailed list of changes, including a short video that outlines the many changes, is available on the Usability Project Details page.
