Boston University announced today that it has selected SAP’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to provide a central source for faculty and staff to access key data and tools to automate and streamline its business processes, including financials, human resources and procurement. On June 17, the project team released the RFP for our implementation and integration partner. The vendor selected will be responsible for working in partnership with Boston University to develop and implement a detailed plan to blueprint, configure and install our new financial, human resources and procurement systems software, integrate that software with existing systems, convert historical data, thoroughly test all systems, and establish a training program for anyone expected to use the new systems.
Responses to the RFP are due by July 15. The responses will be evaluated and vendor finalists will be selected by the end of July. Those finalists will be invited to the University during the first week of August to make oral presentations describing their approach, experience and expertise, and to introduce members of their teams. We anticipate selection of a preferred vendor early in September and hope to be able to execute a contract by November.
