- Gap/Gap Analysis
- The difference between existing ("as-is") and desired ("to-be") states of systems and processes. A "gap analysis" is a formal method of identifying and measuring this difference in order to provide recommendations for bridging that space.
- Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- An integrated software solution that automates and manages HR, payroll, management, and accounting activities. An HRIS generally should provide the capability to more effectively plan, control, and manage HR costs; achieve improved efficiency and quality in HR transaction processing and decision making; and improve employee and managerial productivity and effectiveness. Common HR software functions include employee recruitment and hiring, compensation, performance evaluations, promotions, employee relations, planning, payroll, and benefits. Also known as Human Resources Management System (HRMS).
