I am currently the Creative Director for Premier
Productions Intl'. We produce large scale Industrials,
Conferences, Product Launches and Special Events. I
am responsible for initiating the creative approach
for the event and then producing all creative elements
including scenery, lighting, A/V, effects, original
video segments, talent and script writing. I recently
finished producing a 4-day event for Qualcomm introducing
their new BREW Wireless Technology. Prior to that a
produced events in Toronto, Chicago, New York and Orlando.
Last week I produced a special event in Sacramento for
the Governor of California, which featured the Big Bad
Voodoo Daddies. I am currently producing a User's Conference
in Chicago in mid-September for a Channel Management
Software Co. I have recently designed 3 shows for the
Los Angeles Theater Center and have been a guest lecturer
at a few local colleges. Prior to my current position,
I was the Lead Production Designer and Account Representative
for Concept Design Productions. While there my client
list included Xerox, Mercedes Benz, Ford, Nintendo,
Lincoln Mercury, Phillips, KIA, Pharmacia Upjohn, TEAC
and Mazda. |

with the DCTC, which included the mammoth production

I am Principal Designer for Archeon. The experiential
design/attraction arm for Exhibitgroup/Giltspur. We
just wrapped Design Development for "ChicagoWorks"
an 80'000 sq ft immersive attraction at the base of
the Sears Tower in Chicago. The attraction is scheduled
to open in June 2002. Prior to that I ran BigBug Productions
a sci/fi fantasy design company, before that I was
Creative Director for BRC Imagination arts, before
that I was a Show Set Designer for WDI working on
Tokyo Disney Seas, and I started my post grad work
at Universal Studios as a senior set designer on the
Twister attraction in Orlando. I lead design charrettes
and play with crayons and sit on a big round blue
ball. No I'm not kidding.

related to costuming many of the things I did in the
Boston University costume shop are very similar to my
currant life. For example, the long hours, the whining,
and the crying. Just kidding! But seriously, I miss

Events, Film, Concert tours, Theatre..... My latest
projects were; Yanni - Tribute, a video shot in India
and China and Batman and Robin - Mr Freeze.

Jon is the senior lighting designer at ITEC Entertainment,
a global entertainment firm creating theme parks,attractions,
entertainment, retail and dining around the world.
Jon designed the entire lighting and effects scope
(architectural and show) for the new controversial
attraction in Orlando, "The Holy Land Experience"
and is working on that atraction's second phase, a
walk through living biblical museum invoving ground
breaking use of fiber optic artifact lighting intergtated
into the theatrical show lighting. Upcoming projects
on concept boards are the "Airforce One" Experience
and an entire theme park in Johannesburg South Africa.
Previous design projects with ITEC include three Walt
Disney World Projects, show lighting for a flagship
SEPHORA store in New York City and six "Everything
but Water" Retail stores across the country. Jon also
intergrates (programs a spcialized one of a kind dmx
playback system) show lighting (desiged by others)
into ITEC rides and attraction show control systems
such as "Cat in the Hat" and the "Adventures of Spiderman"
at Universal Studios Florida, the new "Templo Del
Fuego" attraction at Port Adventura Spain, and refurbuished
the lighting and playback system for Florida's ET
attraction.

Currently in my second season as Resident Lighting Designer
at Actors Theatre of Louisville in Kentucky. My designs
have included How I Learned to Drive, Little Shop of
Horrors, The Lover, A Slight Ache, Dracula, Jouet, Floyd
Collins, and The Piano Lesson as well as the premieres
of four plays in the annual Humana Festival of New American
Plays: Quake, When the Sea Drowns in Sand (new title:
Havana is Waiting), Description Beggared; or the Allegory
of WHITENESS, and Heaven and Hell (on Earth). Upcoming
projects include a three-actor production of Macbeth,
another round of Humana Festival plays, Art, and Red
Herring. I am also teaching design and production at
a nearby college. Juliet and I bought a house this summer.
Stately Penna Manor is a 7-year-old stone house with
17 acres of land, including 11 acres of forest and a
small pond. |

as project manager on a repair job for a 50' race boat
(sail) that ran aground this summer. Other projects
in the shop include a recntly completed 45' custom yacht
for a VP at Microsoft, a 62' custom yacht in the early
stages of construction, and a 23' wooden sloop about
1/2 complete. We built custom compsite yachts using
technology that is only used in about a half dozen shops

did for two seasons ('00 & '01). Currently, I am
employed by the Houston Grand Opera as the First Assistant
to the Costume Director...hey guys, I really do work
only 40 hours per week!! Wahoooo! In addition, I have
recently started my own small business working as a
Kitchen Consultant for The Pampered Chef. I am very
active in my church and find personal growth with our
efforts to feed the homeless.

director and choreographer. Recent and upcoming credits
include...ALBERT HERRING (director) with Red House
Opera Group, BLUE DEMON (AD) with The Huntington Theatre
Company, RESURRECTION and DIE FLEDERMAUS (AD and Choreographer)
with Boston Lyric Opera, and I will be at Central
City Opera this summer working as and AD on L'ITALIANA
IN ALGERI.

In 2000 I co-founded TEATRO LUNA, Chicago's all-Latina
Theater Company. We develop and create pieces on our
experiences of being Latinas and women. Our first production,
GENERIC LATINA, opened to rave reviews and sold out
houses. We have started touring colleges and developed
a new piece at INTAR's New Work Festival in New York
City. Being in the ITS program at BU...creating and
enforcing your self-made map is what lets me guide these
women even in areas where I don't always know the answer
(arts administration)...oh, yeah...and for now, I feed
myself doing Voice Overs. |

I'm currently working in NYC as the props master for
Spaeth Design Inc, a design firm that speicalizes in
animated Christmas windows, event display and decor.
Since I moved here in 2001 I've freelanced with NY Theatre
Workshop, Manhattan Ensemble Theatre and the Juilliard
School. In addition I'm teaching art lessons with disadvantaged
families and children with Free Arts NYC, and the Stanton
Street Settlement. Gregg Mozgala (acting class of '00)
and I will be married in the summer of 2004. |
