The Boston University SATellite (BUSAT) program is focused on space science and engineering research through the development of small spacecraft and flight subsystems. The interdisciplinary program spans colleges within the university and involves graduate and undergraduate students in the planning, design, construction, and operation of spaceflight projects. BUSAT is housed within the Space Technology Lab on campus and enables collaboration of faculty, researchers, and students in professional facilities.

BUSAT’s interdisciplinary nature has been successful drawing students from a number of departments including ME, ECE, BME, Astronomy, Physics, and Computer Science.
