Join the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center (HGARC) on Wednesday, February 29 and Thursday, March 1 for a two-night Student Collaborative Series event. On Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., head to CAS Room 725 for a screening of Terry Gilliam‘s 1981 film “Time Bandits.” Then, for the second part of this two-night experience, take part in a Discovery Seminar on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the HGARC reading room. Here participants will get the chance to hold and review original scripts, notes, drawings, photographs, promotional material and memorabilia about this groundbreaking film. Both events are free to students with BU IDs.
Tonight, the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center hosts “Espionage, Secrets and Spies,” offering a close-up look at World War II and Cold War-era documents and artifacts. The collection will include items from the Julius and Ethel Rosenberg case; documents on the first US orbital spy satellite, Corona; and objects from the precursor to the CIA, the Office of Strategic Services.
“Espionage, Secrets and Spies” will be hosted tonight at 6:00 in the Gotlieb Reading Room on the fifth floor of Mugar Memorial Library. The event is part of Gotlieb’s Student Discovery Seminars (pdf) and is open to students with a BU ID. For more information, visit the related BU Today article and the Gotlieb website.
