Join fellow film enthusiasts at 7 p.m. tonight in the Tsai Performance Center for the 32nd annual Redstone Film Festival. Sponsored by Sumner Redstone, Chairman of VIACOM, the Redstone Film Festival is recognized as one of New England’s premier film and television venues. Projects are written and directed by graduate and undergraduate students from Boston University’s College of Communication.
Winners will be announced at tonight’s screening event. The event is open to the public and admission is free based on a first-come basis.
Tonight, the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center (HGARC) presents a Student Discovery Seminar entitled 1862: The American Civil War. Join College of General Studies Assistant Professor Cheryl Boots and Alex Rankin, Assistant Director of the HGARC as they discover the frustrations of Abraham Lincoln, the logistics of creating a modern military, and the sad realities and sacrifices of our nation. This event is free to students with a BU ID. It will take place at 6 p.m. in the HGARC Reading Room on the 5th floor of the Mugar Library.
