Cinematheque Series: An Evening With Joe Swanberg

Join the College of Communication tonight for an evening with Chicago-based filmmaker Joe Swanberg.  Known as one of the founding fathers of the “mumble core” movement, Swanberg is a young, prolific, and innovative filmmaker. The College’s Cinematheque Series will screen “Silver Bullet,” one of his seven feature films from 2011.  After the screening, Swanberg will participate in a conversation with the audience.  This event will begin at 7 p.m. and go until around 9 p.m.  It will take place in COM Room 101, and is free to BU students and their friends or guests.

Dr. Peter L. Berger, Professor Emeritus of religion, sociology and theology, will be speaking at Brookline Booksmith on Wednesday, November 9th at 7:00 pm. Berger will discuss his new memoir, Adventures of an Accidental Sociologist: How to Explain the World Without Becoming A Bore.
