We will be commemorating our alumnus, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with a series of events on January 19, 2015 in the Metcalf Ballroom in the George Sherman Unionl. At 2 p.m. the Dean of Students office and Howard Thurman Center will hold their annual commemoration of Dr. King with, The Other America: On the Occasion of the National Celebration of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. featuring noted poet Nikki Giovanni. A special musical act will be joining us – stay tuned for details. We will also have student and alumni speakers. This event is open to the public.
