The Retention and Re-Engagement Project: Integrating Peers into the Health Care Team to Engage and Retain Minorities in HIV Care

12:00 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2013
Crosstown Building, 801 Massachusetts Avenue, Room 460/460A

One goal of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy is to re-engage and retain people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) into care. Racial and ethnic minorities with mental health, substance abuse, or housing needs are at particularly high risk of non-engagement in HIV care. This session will provide information on the process of designing and implementing 1) the peer intervention to engage and retain people of color living with HIV/AIDS, and 2) the multi-site evaluation of the peer intervention.

This event is brought to you by the School of Public Health, Health & Disability Working Group, as part of International Education Week, a university-wide celebration of BU's global engagement.
