Red Sox Home Opener: Vermont Air National Guard Fighter Wing Flyover
The 20th anniversary of the Red Sox 2004 Championship Team was celebrated at Fenway Park during pregame ceremonies before the team’s home opener on April 9. In addition to marking the milestone anniversary, the ceremony included a special tribute honoring the life, legacy, and community impact of Red Sox Hall of Famer Tim Wakefield and his wife, Stacy. The afternoon included a Vermont Air National Guard 158FW (Fighter Wing) Unit flyover over the city. A private viewing party for the flyover was held at the Center for Computing & Data Sciences for CDS faculty.
