First Meal of the Semester
Myles Standish Hall, Shelton Hall, West, The Towers, and Warren Towers

Dining Services is opening the five main residence halls for breakfast on Saturday morning, if you’re arriving to campus early. Did you know that parents also eat free on Saturday and Sunday in the dining halls?

Terrier Tailgate
6:00 pm gates; 7:00 pm game.
Nickerson Field

Join Athletics for the 5th Annual Terrier Tailgate. The BU Men’s Soccer team goes head-to-head with St. John’s, with special game events, including a dunk tank, pictures with Rhett, a National Anthem performance by the Dear Abbeys, halftime performances by the drum line and dance team, and more. The first 1,000 attendees receive a BU Soccer scarf.

GSU Takeover

The Student Activities Office is taking over the George Sherman Union and turning it into a nightclub. If you’re moving in on Saturday, you don’t want to miss this!

Matriculation Procession: Class of 2015
12:30 pm
Danielsen Hall to Agganis Arena

Students will receive an official invitation from Dean Elmore with more information upon residence check-in. The procession is led by the Dean of Students, the University Marshal, and the Student Union. The Class of 2015 proceeds  to Bay State Road, then to Commonwealth Avenue, where the BU Band joins them in the procession to Agganis Arena.

The Class of 2015 is inducted into the Boston University community, and addressed by President Robert A. Brown.

Over 500 student organizations will be represented on Nickerson Field immediately after Matriculation. Visit SPLASH for more information on student life at BU and how to get involved. Be sure to grab a bag — every organization will have flyers and swag for the taking.

Do your homework ahead of time by visiting the Student Activities Office website and learning about some of the clubs & organizations available at BU.

Midnight Putt-Putt & Pancakes

Metcalf Ballroom (George Sherman Union, Upper Level)

The Student Activities Office hosts Midnight Blacklight Mini-golf and tasty pancakes, plus giant versions of some of your favorite classic games like Connect 4 and Checkers. The fun starts at 11:30 pm.

Comm Ave Fair

All along Commonwealth Avenue

Join BU’s departments & centers all along the main campus drag for the Comm Ave Fair from 2:00 to 4:00. Think SPLASH, but BU’s schools & colleges are invited to the party with information & giveaways. View all of the planned events on the Comm Ave Fair website.
