Aphasia is an [...]acquired languare disorder, often caused by a stroke or other traumatic brain injury. It affects someone's ability to understand or use language.
Elizabeth Hoover and Swathi Kiran explain how the Aphasia Resource Center at Sargent College is using a unique method to help the center's participants gain back their communications skills: iPad-based learning software.
And thanks to a generous donor, there is now a scholarship program for those who can't afford their own iPads—so that every patient has the chance to improve his or her condition through this innovative and intuitive therapy.
