World Economy in Crisis

Five economics and business experts address students and faculty at SMG's event, The World Economy [...]in Crisis: Debt, Double-Dip, Employment Outlook: What Happens Next?. While the discussion touched on everything from company regulation, the housing and job markets, and global economic problems, it was student debt, which now exceeds credit card debt, that stole the show.

The discussion was moderated by Kenneth Freeman, SMG’s Allen Questrom Professor and Dean; and included Lawrence Kotlikoff, the William Fairfield Warren Distinguished Professor and College of Arts & Sciences professor of economics; Michael Salinger, a School of Management professor of finance and economics; John Zhao, founder and CEO of Hony Capital, a China-focused private equity investment firm; and Jeffrey Knight, head of global asset allocation for Putnam Investments.

Hosted by School of Management on November 8, 2011.
