About the Speaker:
Dr. Alice H. Lichtenstein is the Stanley N. Gershoff Professor of Nutrition Science and Policy in the Friedman School and Director and Senior Scientist of the Cardiovascular Nutrition Laboratory at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, both at Tufts University. Dr. Lichtenstein's research examines the interplay between diet and cardiovascular disease risk factors, and she has been widely recognized by organizations including the American Heart Association, American Society for Nutrition, and the American Public Health Association. She currently serves as vice-chair of the 2015 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Agriculture.
