2009 Public Interest Project Annual Auction Gala

The Public Interest Project (PIP) is a student-run organization formed in 1984. Our mission is to [...]increase the number of law school graduates who devote part or all of their careers to public interest law. Today, the Public Interest Project (PIP) is one of the most active student organizations at the law school.

Through various events, PIP raises money to fund summer grants for first- and second-year law students who work in otherwise unpaid public interest and government summer internships.

Last year, PIP raised enough money to provide grants to 80 law students. We anticipate funding at least as many grants next summer, through programs like our annual auction, phone-a-thons, LSTAR hotel voucher program and alumni support.
