Marshall Van Alstyne: Knowledge Market Design Inside the Firm

This talk will apply standard economic theories—on prices, on money supply, and on [...]networks—to the design of a market for information exchange within large firms from a manager's point of view. The premise is that much prior work on "knowledge management" has been atheoretical and that management practice therefore needs to borrow from existing theories that have much to say about the movement and value of information.
