Dr. Charles Strozier--“The Apocalyptic Other: Reflections on the Religious and Psychological Basis of Contemporary Political Violence”

Dr. Strozier is a senior training and supervising psychoanalyst at the Training and Research Institute in Self Psychology (TRISP) and is a practicing psychoanalytic psychotherapist in New York City. He is also a professor of history at John Jay College and the Graduate Center, City University of New York. Among his many publications, Dr. Strozier is the author of Until the Fires Stopped Burning: 9/11 and New York City in the Words and Experiences of Survivors and Witnesses (Columbia University Press, 2011) and a senior editor of The Fundamentalist Mindset: Psychological Perspectives on Religion, Violence, and History (Oxford University Press, 2010)
