2013 Annual Lowell Lecture Series

Boston University School of Theology presents a two-part Public Lecture Series entitled "A Closer [...]Look: Spirituality and Politics, Polity and Paternalism in the debate on inclusion of LGBTQ folk in organized religion." The Fall Term Lowell Lecture features Bishop V. Gene Robinson. The Right Reverend Robinson, retired Episcopal Bishop of New Hampshire, presents a lecture on his personal faith journey and his spirituality in the light of the controversy surrounding his election and service as the first Bishop to be "openly gay and married to a person of the same gender in the Anglican Communion."
