Poetry Reading by Greg Delanty

Irish poet Greg Delanty, author most recently of The Ship of Birth: Poems, reads from his poetry and [...]discusses both poetry and politics, as part of a poetry series sponsored by the University Professors Program and the BU Humanities Foundation. Poetry is worth the attention it requires, Delanty insists, and he reads poems about his mother, his changing native Ireland, God and the divine, the nature of tragedy, and the natural world, among other topics, and a series of "American sonnets."

Hosted by University Professors Program and the Humanities Foundation at Boston University on April 12, 2007.
