BUMP is pleased to welcome Carl Safina of the Blue Ocean Institute to Boston University. Carl is the guest speaker for the BU Marine Program Fred Lang Memorial Lecture in Marine Science, “Caught in the Same Net: The Ocean & Us”. Carl is the author of The View from Lazy Point and A Sea in Flames, and several other books. Carl’s work explores how human dignity and the survival of the natural world are increasingly intertwined. The lecture will be presented at the Metcalf Science Center, Room 109, 590 Commonwealth Ave; free and open only to the BU community, with a reception following the lecture.
