Human Physiology

Minor Concentration in Human Physiology (1237)

This minor is designed for students who wish to enhance their knowledge of anatomy, neuroscience, exercise physiology, or nutrition. Five 4-credit courses are required, with a minimum grade of C in each course.

Required Courses

The following two courses are required for the minor concentration:

SAR HS 369 Gross Human Anatomy

SAR HS 370 Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology

Plus three courses from the following:

SAR HP 252 Health and Disability Across the Lifespan

SAR HP 353 Organization and Delivery of Healthcare in the U.S.

SAR HP 565 Biomechanics

SAR HS 251 Human Nutrition Science

SAR HS 281 Nutrition Throughout the Life Cycle

SAR HS 320 Genomics in Public Health

SAR HS 342 Exercise Physiology

SAR HS 360 Muscle Biology in Health and Disease
