Boston University’s graduate program in Brussels is at the center of political and social change, while being linked to global finance and industry. As home to the European Union (EU), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and to hundreds of multinational corporations and international organizations, Brussels is the ideal location for the student wishing to pursue studies in international relations, leadership, and business.
Boston University in Brussels programs are taught entirely in English and follow the American style of education. Accomplished faculty, with expertise in global business and government, stress

As the international unit of Boston University’s Metropolitan College, BU Global brings the world to Boston for dynamic learning opportunities in a “global classroom” format—providing a valuable multicultural perspective on today’s business and technology trends. BU Global’s specialized, graduate-level certificate and diploma programs, professional internship opportunities, and study experiences are designed for students from around the globe who recognize that rigorous academic study at a world-renowned institution is essential for professional success, as well as for personal growth. The intensive format of BU Global programs means that students can complete a Master’s Track Diploma or Certificate in as few as four months. Diploma and Certificate programs also have an Advanced Track option that includes a four-month professional internship and the possibility of an additional year of Optional Practical Training (OPT).

BU Global's Abroad@BU program provides an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to study at Boston University for a full semester or year. Offered exclusively to BU Global's academic partners abroad, this Boston-based study experience welcomes international students to Boston University's main campus during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Admitted students are eligible to study full-time at an exclusive tuition rate, and have full access to the wide range of academic and extracurricular resources available on Boston University's main campus.
Additional program highlights:
- Students enroll full-time at Metropolitan College—one of Boston University's 17 degree-granting schools and colleges
- Courses are taught by distinguished Boston University faculty
- Students study, live, and interact with Boston University’s diverse population of students from the United States and around the world
- Upon successful completion of their courses, students receive an official Boston University transcript
- Students benefit from the University’s extensive campus resources—including 23 libraries and a state-of-the-art Fitness & Recreation Center
- Abroad@BU participants receive designated student services throughout their studies at Boston University
- The University’s Educational Resource Center offers academic support, tutoring services, and other resources for developing personal and academic skills
- Small class sizes ensure that students have direct access to faculty
- Boston University’s campus is convenient to public transportation and downtown Boston—one of the most vibrant and cultural cities in the U.S.
