The School of Law Bulletin

Our Faculty

Dedication to students—inside and outside the classroom—is what defines the BU Law faculty. It’s the core of the BU Law experience. When The Princeton Review called us one of the top 10 “overall academic experiences,” we knew they were talking about our faculty.

BU Law professors are nationally acclaimed for their legal skills and scholarship and are frequently sought out for advice by both the public and private sectors. They have written authoritative texts in key fields including copyright, contracts, tax, labor law, administrative law, securitization, constitutional law, legal ethics, antitrust, torts, civil procedure, international commercial arbitration and international law. You will learn from the nation’s top legal scholars.

Our student/faculty ratio of 12:1 is among the lowest of schools of comparable size. Not only will you benefit from smaller class sizes, but you will have more one-on-one interaction with your professors. In our clinics, our student/faculty ratio is 6:1.

“BU Law’s faculty cares about its students.” In a recent survey, 95 percent of first-year students either agreed or strongly agreed with that statement. We take student input about the learning experience seriously: BU Law students help interview candidates for full-time faculty positions and provide feedback to the School’s Faculty Appointments Committee.
