College of Arts & SciencesPhotojournalismMinor Concentration in PhotojournalismThe minor concentration in photojournalism is designed for students who want a general introduction to the concepts and practices of the professional photojournalist. This minor concentration is restricted to College of Arts & Sciences, College of Fine Arts, and College of Engineering students. Prerequisites for entering the program are a minimum grade of B in CAS WR150 Writing and Research Seminar or CAS EN 220 Proseminar in Literature, and a grade of B in COM CO 201 Introduction to Communication Writing. The minor concentration should be declared before the end of the second semester of the sophomore year to ensure sufficient time to complete the requirements. A grade point average of 2.3 is required in all COM courses. No transfer credit may be used to fulfill the program’s eight-course residence requirement in the College of Communication. Students must register for COM CO 201 at the College of Communication Student Services office (COM Room 123), and for all other courses at the corresponding COM department.
