Ximena is a 2020 BU alumna and a second time Fulbright Semi-Finalist, currently working at the United Nations Foundation in D.C. Growing up both in Mexico and in the U.S, Ximena developed a keen interest in cultural exchange, migration, and the importance of positive binational cooperation. Through Fulbright’s IE School of Global and Public Affairs Master’s Award, she will pursue the Master in International Development. This program has a unique partnership with the United Nations System Staff College, which will allow her to focus on the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and gain the expertise needed to promote sustainable social, economic, and environmental prosperity. If granted the award, Ximena will return to study in Madrid as she did in her Junior year of study abroad and have the opportunity to fully emerge in the Spanish culture by serving as a Cultural Ambassador of the United States.
