Project Details

The primary components of the project include:

  1. BPO (Business Process Optimization) from Blackbaud: an analysis of current DAR functional business processes to incorporate recommendations into the Design Review of new system implementation
  2. Implementation of Blackbaud’s eCRM (Constituent Relationship Management System) as a replacement for the current UIS-Alumni database.  Includes integrations with General Ledger (SAP/BUworks) and Student Information (Registrar/UIS)
  3. Customizations and additional Integrations by BU Team such as DAR website enhancements and increased functionality, integration of data from shadow databases, etc.

Key requirements in replacing the current DAR system with The Blackbaud Enterprise CRM solution are:

  • Deploy an updated DAR technology infrastructure to support a potential campaign at BU
  • Gain an holistic view of a constituent and their relationship to Boston University entities
  • Ease of use for all end users of the system
  • Improved end user reporting, access to data, and sharing of information
  • Institutional executive and management level reporting
  • Streamline day-to-day processes and eliminate data silos
  • Provide integrated online fundraising, constituent self-service, alumni online community, and eMarketing capabilities
