Regulation No. 6/27/PBI/2004 Concerning Supervision of Village Credit Agencies, issued by Bank Indonesia, applies to both village banks and rural savings and loan agencies in Indonesia.

This regulation gives supervisory authority over village banks and rural savings and loan agencies to PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), a predominantly state-owned limited liability company. The regulation outlines reporting requirements and stipulates that costs for supervision are to be borne by Bank Indonesia.
