Prudential Regulations for Microfinance Banks/Institutions set forth a cap amount that a borrower in Pakistan can borrow in aggregate from MFBs, MFIs, other financial institutions or NGOs, and aims to prevent over-indebtedness clients. It also requires disclosure of terms and conditions to clients, in addition to imposing service charges and penalties.
