Law No. 2297 of 2001 on Strengthening of Financial Regulations and Supervision amends Law No. 1488 of 1993 on Banks and Financial Entities, the core banking law of Bolivia, and includes provisions on the creation of Bolivia’s Financial Restructuring Fund (a form of deposit insurance).
