BUTV 10

A picture’s worth a thousand words; but video is even better. Over the last year, we have worked with Boston University’s other major entertainment source, BUTV 10, to broadcast our live events across campus. Maybe you couldn’t make it to the show; maybe you want to relive the moment your favorite indie band’s singer sang directly to you—either way, you can catch show footage on BUTV.

Last year, BUTV brought the Adult Spelling Bee and RaRaRiot to your dorm room television screen, and we look forward to the many events they will film in the coming year. From interviews with celebrities like Will Ferrell to BU Central events, rest assured that if it’s interesting, and if it’s happening on BU turf, BUTV 10 will film it.

Dean's Office

The Dean of Students, Dean Elmore, had a brilliant idea one day to have nighttime events below the George Sherman Union. BU Central is the result. When you take a campus tour, you’ll hear a little bit about what we do here, because, like anyone, the Dean of Students likes people to know about his thriving creation. Through Dean Elmore’s innovation and the efforts by the Dean’s Office to spread word of BU Central’s underground venue, we exist to this day, and will continue to bring events to students, conveniently right under your feet.

Student Activities Office

The Student Activities Office covers all grounds—everything you want to do around your time in class starts here, and BU Central is a small part of SAO’s broad web of activities. Have questions about leadership opportunities? Greek life info? SAO has all the answers. And since they just know so much, we like them quite a lot.

WTBU

From announcing notable events to hosting their own in our sublevel venue, the WTBU staff have done a lot to help us out and work with us to bring more music, more life to BU after-hours.

In May 2008, they held their WTBU Day show, featuring Film School, The King Left, and Boston University’s own Spitzer Space Telescope, and we can’t wait for their continued work on our stage. Look out for our future collaboration, and listen to WTBU radio show’s playing our gifted performers’ music.
