Our contracting process begins with a bid. Once a bid is accepted, we use all pertinent information to generate a contract. This contract is mailed to the appropriate artist representative and signed and returned with a rider. Boston University uses its own standard contract for all artists who perform on our campus. In order to avoid having two separate contracts for this event, Boston University will only sign the BU performer contract. However, please note that we are more than happy to include your or your agency's contract as an addendum to the BU contract, in effect creating one complete contract that features requirements and restrictions from both parties. This is merely an effort to cut down on extra paperwork, and is no way an indication that we will not honor all of the needs outlined in your contract. We do our best to accommodate all talent requests, but please be advised that Boston University policy prohibits us from purchasing alcohol. In the two weeks before the show, each performer or group is assigned an advance staff member who will contact you and go over the day-of-show timeline. This person will be your main contact person in the days leading up to and the day of your performance. Flying to BostonBU Central does not make travel arrangements for our performers, and all compensation is inclusive of travel. For those artists wishing to fly, the most convenient airport is Boston's Logan International (BOS). Taxis are available at each terminal, as are shuttles for car rental agencies. Shuttles are also available to the Airport T Station. Please contact your assigned BU Central advance team member with any questions. |
