About BU Central

BU Central is Boston University’s late night entertainment venue, located right in the center of campus.  Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, we bring you the best in music acts of various genres, hilarious comedians, and whatever crazy events our staff can come up with.  We’ve already brought some of your favorite bands and comedians—Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, We Are Scientists, Tristan Prettyman, Steve Hofstetter, and Greg Fitzsimmons, just to name a few.  We have some wild and fun events like the Adult Spelling Bee, the Bad Movie Lock-In, and the Guitar Hero Tournament.  And if you aren’t too shy to get up on our stage, we’ve got events like Acoustic Café, Battle of the Bands, Freestyle Competition, and poetry nights that you can participate in.

What makes BU Central so great?  Maybe it’s the intimate setting—with a capacity of only 400, you’re never more than a few feet away from all the action.  There’s hardly a bad seat in there (unless you’re behind a pole).  Or maybe it’s because you can always count on us to bring up-and-coming stars to perform.  One day you might be able to say “I was there when (insert band or comedian here) played at BU Central!”
