Dr. Amy Rosen is a Senior Research Scientist in the Health Quality Section at the Center for Health Quality, Outcomes, and Economic Research (CHQOER). Dr. Rosen's research interest focuses on secondary analysis of long-term care data to develop a risk-adjustment model to predict decline in functional status among VA long-term care residents, as well as on the development of a diagnosis-based ambulatory care case-mix measure for the purpose of rofiling and predicting the health care resource utilization of the population.
Dr. Rosen was involved in research on quality of hospital care and risk-adjustment methodologies at Boston University School of Medicine. She also conducted an evaluation of non-smoking policies and their effects on employees' and residents' smoking behavior at worksites, restaurants, and retail stores. Other research interests include: health policy issues related to the consequences of managed care and sociological factors in health services research.
