- Do you have to be American to study at BU in Brussels?
One advantage of attending Boston University in Brussels is that
you will gain the multiple perspectives, cultural diversity, and
business savvy of our international student body. Students come
from Europe, the United States, and all over the world. They are
seasoned business leaders, working professionals, and those just
starting their careers—all of whom gain the necessary skills
to succeed in the international marketplace.
- What programs do you offer?
Boston University in Brussels programs take advantage of our international
location to provide graduate programs in leadership, international relations, and business. We offer graduate degrees, graduate diplomas, and graduate
certificates—you may even attend individual courses.
- Do you offer undergraduate courses?
We specialize in graduate study. Boston University in Brussels does
not offer courses at the undergraduate level.
- When are your classes offered?
Classes at Boston University in Brussels are offered at convenient
times during weekday evenings, so that you are able to balance your
professional and personal responsibilities with your program of
study.
- How long do programs take to complete?
It is your choice whether you study part-time or full-time. You have up to three years to complete the graduate international relations programs, and up to five years to complete all other programs—though programs can be completed in as few as one and a half years.
Certificate and diploma coursework typically takes two to four
terms to complete. You may apply certificate and diploma credits
towards a master's degree at Boston University.
- Are classes taught in English?
All graduate programs and courses at Boston University in Brussels
are taught entirely in English. Our programs follow the American
style of education, stressing a hands-on, pragmatic approach to
learning that will provide you with skills and knowledge you can
apply to your career immediately.
- Do you offer language classes to help me learn English?
We do not offer any language classes in English. Applicants must
demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English. Non-native
English-speaking applicants to who did not receive an undergraduate
degree from a university in the United States of America, Canada,
the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, or Ireland must demonstrate
proficiency in English by submitting a TOEFL
score.
- What is your tuition?

and Fees page. Courses are either 2 or 4 credit hours.
- Do you offer scholarships?
Boston University in Brussels does not offer any scholarships.
- Do you offer financial aid?
Financial aid is available to American citizens through FAFSA (Free
Application for Federal Student Aid) loans. Visit the Boston University Office of Financial Assistance for more information.
Belgian Residents/Nationals are eligible to deduct their educational
expenses and costs from their taxes as an educational benefit. Contact
your accountant or the Ministry
of Finance of Belgium for more details.
Citizens of other countries should check with their local government

Embassy or Consulate for information on eligibility for loan
assistance.
