Hitting the books: CELOP students Hassen Sfar (left) and Raya Abid, who are from Tunisia, compare notes in the outer lobby of the Tsai Performance Center. BU's Center for English Language and Orientation Programs (CELOP), which offers intensive instruction in English, is one of the largest centers of its kind at a U.S. university. Besides classroom instruction, CELOP offers academic advising, visa counseling, and a multimedia language lab, where students use advanced computers to work on pronunciation and boost their reading speed.
