East rival University of Maine at 3 p.m.
It will be BU's first appearance at
Malvern Field after a seven-game road
trip. The field is at the corner of

Athletes of the Week
Michel Larocque, Tommi Degerman, and Chris Drury
Their season ended in overtime at Albany's Pepsi Arena
March 29, but the men's hockey Terriers still had stellar
performances from a number of players in their 4-3 loss to
New Hampshire in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
Goaltender Michel Larocque (MET'99) made 33 stops,
including several saves during two-on-one and breakaway
situations, keeping Boston University in the game. The
Dieppe, Nebr., native was Hockey East's top goaltender this
year, with a 12-1-1 conference record and a 1.74 goals
against average. He enjoyed the same distinction last
season, when he posted a 9-2-2 record and a 2.57 goals
against average.
Forward Tommi Degerman (SMG'00) scored twice against New
Hampshire: the tying and go-ahead goals, within two minutes
of each other, put BU in the lead in the second period. His
second goal was scored when Boston University was
shorthanded. Degerman, from Helsinki, Finland, enjoyed an
auspicious debut in a Terrier uniform last season, scoring
two goals and two assists against New Hampshire.
Cocaptain Chris Drury (CAS'98), whose 115 goals are the
most in University history, didn't score against New
Hampshire, but had three assists -- two of them on
Degerman's crucial goals. In the NCAA Quarterfinal he became
the only BU player ever to record 100 goals and 100 assists
in a career. He was chosen to the NCAA East Regional
Tournament team despite the fact that his team didn't win a
game in the tournament. The Trumbull, Conn., native will
play for the NHL's Colorado Avalanche next year.
