The MNL is integrated with the Boston University Memory Disorders Research Center and the Neuroimaging Research for Veterans (NeRVe) Center at VA Boston. We work with healthy young and older adults, as well as individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), medial temporal lobe amnesia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Using neuroimaging techniques including structural and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), the MNL focuses on:

  • examining the neural correlates of cognition, with an emphasis in memory

  • studying the relationships between physical activity, fitness, cognition and the brain
