Theatres

Boston Playwrights' Theatre:
Boston Playwrights’ Theatre was founded in 1981 by Nobel Laureate Derek Walcott for the purpose of encouraging new works for the stage. BPT has produced over 40 professional showcase productions over the years and continues to encourage new writers all over the New England area. Last year the New England Theatre Conference awarded BPT its regional award for "Outstanding Achievement in the American Theatre."
