Please join us for the next HDR Seminar on Wednesday, September 18th at 12:00 PM, “NHATS Pilot Study: Contextual Factors and Healthy Aging in the Community”. Dr. Beth Marfeo will be discussing her work-in-progress for a pilot study that has recently been funded through the Center for Rehabilitation Research Using Large Datasets (CRRLD) R24 program. This pilot project will investigate the association between contextual factors (i.e. compensatory strategies, environmental modifications, and social/community networks) with participation in two important outcome domains: (1) community-based instrumental activities of daily living and (2) leisure activities among a national sample of community dwelling older adults, using the National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS). The goals of her presentation during this seminar will be to discuss and receive feedback on the initial analysis plan and preliminary findings related to the domain of leisure/valued activities. Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP to Anna Schmidt (, if you plan to attend. NOTE: This seminar will be available via webinar. WEBINAR INSTRUCTIONS 1.)
