In a dramatic finish, the Terriers won their twenty-eighth Beanpot trophy in February. They beat Boston College 2-1 with an overtime goal by forward Brian McGuirk (MET’08), his first of the season. Goaltender John Curry (CAS’07), who shut out Northeastern in the opening round, was named both the tournament MVP and the Eberly Trophy winner, posting a tournament-record .985 save percentage in two games. The Terriers have won the last three Beanpot tournaments and more than half since 1952’s first Beanpot.
