BME Town Hall Meetings

The BME department holds annual town hall meetings with the sophomore, junior and senior classes to discuss important pre-registration topics, changes in the BME BS degree requirements and class scheduling. College-wide initiatives and opportunities are also reviewed that may impact the students. Additionally, we are interested in hearing feedback about BME courses and curriculum.

New Design Electives

As discussed in the most recent meetings, five new courses now qualify as design electives. They are:

  • BE 435 – Transport Phenomena in Biological Systems
  • BE 437 – Nanometer Scale Processes in Living Systems
  • BE 503 – Numerical Methods and Modeling in Biomedical Engineering
  • BE 513 – Biological and Environmental Acoustics
  • ME 502 – Intellectual Assets: Creation, Protection, and Commercialization
