OBJECTIVE: To develop  an ICU application for their core technology; a dynamic control algorithm that enables tight glycemic control with minimal imputs from sensor data (see core technology award, 2006-2008).  This removes the need to account for intakes such as meals, carbohydrates, etc.  The core technology makes use of insulin and a counter regulatory agent (dextrose) in the pump system for a “push & pull” effect.
